Stadlander is the first band where the Gent pianist Stijn Engels steps forward with his own compositions, revealing his most personal side. Narrative melodies and compelling harmonies form the familiar recipe. It's music that leads to introspection but also aims to celebrate life. Music that demands your attention, asks for engagement, and leaves you unburdened. Stadlander features Stijn Engels on piano, Bruno Van der Haeghen on tenor sax, Kris Auman on double bass, and Stijn Demuynck on drums.
In 2022, the debut album 'Stadlander' was released, featuring the first single 'Housewarming/Supermaan'.
The second album 'Shelter' was released in 2025, including singles like 'Shelter' and 'L'escaut'.
